Bug Description
Copy and paste on some objects produces non-identical copies.
This is on 0.48 running under MacOS X 10.6.5.
Example:
1. Open the attached file.
2. Select the grey square.
3. Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V.
4. Note the differences.

Not reproduced with Inkscape 0.48.0 and 0.48+devel r9894 on OS X 10.5.8
Did you change the pasteboard settings of X11 as described in the FAQ? wiki.inkscape. org/wiki/ index.php/ FAQ#Copying_ and_pasting_ in_Inkscape_ creates_ pixellated_ images_ instead_ of_copying_ the_vector_ objects> launchpadlibrar ian.net/ 36209214/ XQuartz- clipboard- preferences. png> www.inkscapefor um.com/ viewtopic. php?f=22& t=3627# p17000>

The bitmap copy (if the X11 preferences haven't been changed) seems to look different at this zoom level because the rectangle has w = 5.839 px and h = 6.680 px which cannot be represented by a bitmap image (1px is the smallest unit): the result is that part of the edges are antialiased, which looks blocky at this zoom level (622%). Zoom out to zoom level 100% and you won't see the difference. If the X11 preferences are changed, the pasted copy is a vector object, identical to the original.
