Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
Hi.
Since a few weeks i noticed that when my notebook runs on batteries the LAN network (the lan network card) becomes very slow. However the wireless card seems not to be affected and runs just as fast in battery mode as when I plug the notebook in.
I think this is happened right after upgrading to 10.10, but i can't tell 100% for sure.
It seems related to this bug here: https:/
My notebook is an Acer Travemate TM8371 944G32n
Here you find some additional infos:
if you need furhter information, please let me know.

If you want it to run fast, just open the terminal and type
sudo service acpid stop
sudo service acpi-support stop
But then you are responsible for your own power management. But I agree that Ubuntu should have handled it better because its really slow
