Bug Description

Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree

My whole upgrade to 10.04 from 8.04 was cancelled due to this bug!
The install package will now revert everything back to 8.04.
Strange that a failure to install flash would be so serious.

As flash never seems to run properly on 64-bit Ubuntu, I guess I will have to refrain from all upgrades in the future.

ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04
Package: flashplugin-installer (not installed)
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.24-28.80-generic

ErrorMessage:
ErrorMessage: no package named `flashplugin-installer' is installed, cannot configure
SourcePackage: flashplugin-nonfree

Thanks for reporting the bug. Have you tried to manually remove flashplugin-non free, perform the upgrade and then install install flashplugin-installer?

Thanks for a rapid reply!

Contrary to what the install program told me during the installation, the
installation of 10.04 was completed.
And Flash seems to work.

So do not dare to touch anything right now, as running Flash on Ubuntu
64-bit has previously been almost impossible.
