Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

if I open a window that is not maximized and there's a maximized window under it, in some occasions the titlebar goes corrupted. the thing is that it should fade, because that maximized window loses the focus, but it doesn't fade. if u hover over the titlebar with the non-maximized window (that now has the focus), only then it starts looking how it should, but only the area where you have hovered over it with the window with focus.

this looks quite ugly, moreover this shouldn't happen with the default theme, should it?

I say "some occasions" because I haven't been able to figure out, which "class" of windows (that are in focus) causes this. but if a window does this, it will do it always when opened, other widnows will never do it. (the Power Management Preferences window does it, the About Nautilus window does not...)

check the screencast, it's more self-explanatory!!!

Thanx a lot...

actually, the window under doesn't need to be maximized, only has to be under another window...

There's also another visual corruption I realized, which affects the title font, check the screnshot.

Nobody else experiencing this?

by the way did u see the whole screen in the video? my player in chromium cut off the upper part of the video, I don't why, that part is the important one!

OK, I marked it now. But I didn't notice any problems with upper part of any video. I will inform if I notice something.

You probably have meant your uploaded ogv video, haven't you? I haven't figured it out for the first time. I can see whole video with upper part in Firefox 3.6.13. When I have seen this video I'm sure I have same problem. Compiz should redraw titlebar when window loses focus but it doesn't do it every time. Parts of titlebar are correctly redrawn when they are covered by other window or in other cases mentioned in Bug #666501.

Yes, I meant that one (the screencast). I don't know why my Chromium plugin shows me that. Nevermind.

And yeah, I forgot to mention that it only happens with desktop effects enabled.
