Bug Description
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17
The kubuntu live cd freezes just after the splash screen starts. It stays locked for about 8 minutes and then carries on booting seemingly as normal. It boots into kde but nothing is working properly because some of my hardware hasn't been recognised such as my sound card and networking card.
dmesg shows an obvious kernel panic and lots of errors [which I will attach]
I have tried beta 1, beta 2 and the latest daily and all have the same problem
I also tried the ubuntu live cd to see if it was just a kubuntu problem but i get the same thing
I installed dapper off the live cd last time and that booted up fine without a problem
