Hi,
Check if you have the freior-plusigns and all the dependencies installed by the same way like here : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=372
Thanks

Hello !

I checked the web page and make sure to install all dependencies but
problem still persists.
I'm currently editing a 1.8 Gb MP4 file and I add some still pictures
and 3 MP3 files (reasonable size).
I review the vid in Openshot (good product by teh way !) and around the
middle of the file, Openshot quits.

I have 2.5 Gb RAM and a Intel Duo CPU T8300 (2.4 Ghz).

Thkx for your help!!!!

Hi,
If you want to work the AVCHD format and the mp3, you must use the Medibuntu Repository either it will not work. More explanation here : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1040
and here too in video by a member : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=512&start=0
For me it seems here that where is the problem because you have use the official repository.

Hello,

I followed the instructions to include all dependencies as explained in this
one
http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=512&start=0

It is now working ! I can review totally the video in OPenshot BUT there is
one third of the picture missing on teh right side.
The video was initialy made with a Hero HD Pro camera, 170 degrees wide
angle and gave a rectangulat picture in OPenshit.
Now I have a square picture and one third is missing on the right side :(

Any idea to solve this ?

Thkx a lot for your support !

Cheers,

Did

what is the profile that you have used. Is it the good ? Have you done some others tests with some others profiles ? Is it special because you should perhaps create your own profile if the others are not adapted.
See this thread for knowing all of your files : http://openshotusers.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=371
What give you this file with the followings commands :
melt myfile
ffplay myfile
Can you provide/give us a file in this format for testing. Not long under if you have an SpiderOak/UbuntuOne/Dropbox/Wuala account. Is it possible ?
Have you use/need the Rotation effect (i.e. 170 degrees ? )
Thanks.

Hello,

Just to make sure that I gave all nfo:
This problem of missing part of the picture is only happening while pre
viewing video n OPenshot, the exported video is absolutely fine !

I also noticed that since the implementation of the dependencies,
performance of Openshot are much better.

The currents situation is the following:

Openshot is much faster to edit than it used to be before the change
Exported videos are fine and perfect
While editing video, a part of the picture is missing in the Openshot
display and only there.

It seems that the inconvenience of a missing part of the picture doesn't
forbid and doesn't cause major problem to edit videos.

Answering your questions:
Talking about profile, I assume that you thought that I was writing about
the exported video. Sorry if I didn't made it clear.

I didn't used any rotation effect.
I'm currently remotely based with very limited access to internet and very
low bandwith so it will be very difficult to send you a sample of a video
file.

Thkx again for your help !
