When trying to install anything with Ubuntu Software Centre, the qeue says "Waiting for apt-get to exit". I cannot get anything to install.

I have tried other installs (different programs), and they did not work also.

Hi William! Thanks for your bug report. It would seem that apt-get is running, which means that software-center must wait for apt-get to exit before it can start installing applications itself. Could you please check whether waiting for apt-get to exit, or - if you think apt-get isn't running - restarting your computer resolves this issue? Thanks again for your help!
