Bug Description

I have created a new FY.
I have created a opening period (from 01/jan to 01/jan)
Then I wanted to click on the button to automatically create the 12 other periods.

I see the error message: "Error occurred while validating the field(s) date_stop: Invalid period ! Some periods overlap or the date period is not in the scope of the fiscal year. "

=> We should not have overlapping problems between a normal period and a opening period.

Hello Frederic Clementi,

I completely understand your concern.
But, this is very generic we should not allow users to have overlapping periods or date beyond the scope of the fiscal year.

The either way is using the wizard 'Generate Opening Entries',
Create a new period on field 'Opening Entries Period'.
Set the boolean field "Opening/Closing Period" = True.
That would allow you to overlap periods.

Thank you.

Hi Jay,

I am well aware of this. My point was I cannot create first the opening
period (ticked) and only then create all other period. But if you do it the
other way around (first all periods and then the opening one) it works
fine...

So I have reported this bug a bit too quickly :)
 You can close it. sorry
