The "create" function works normally. "Restore" function fails as described. When I start aptoncd from the command line, the following traceback occurs after clicking the "Load" button (for file selection):

dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Hal was not provided by any .service files

AptOnCD does not error exit. This is repeatable.

The fix for that is installing hal, as it was removed on new releases.

Shouldn't hal be added as a dependacy when installing aptoncd?

Yes, it wasn't before because hal was installed by default.

Hi,

For your information, this is planned to remove HAL during next development cycle, so APTonCD should be ported to something else.

You can have more info at http://fossplanet.com/f10/%5Boneiric-foundations-topic%5D-hal-removal-119042/

Thanks,
Fabrice

Hi

The "load" still does not work in Ubuntu 11.04, used to work in Ubuntu 10.04. I think it has something to do with working with Unity.

@Pieter, there's nothing to do with unity, the problem is hal, you just need
to install the hal package.

I am working to remove the hal dependency from aptoncd.

@Pieter, there's nothing to do with unity, the problem is hal, you just need
to install the hal package.

I am working to remove the hal dependency from aptoncd.
