So you are using vlc 1.1.4, correct? And you have vlc installed, correct? How did you installed it? Do you know where your plugins have been installed?

Hi again, I really can't figure this out. Can I confirm which version of GMP you are using? If you're not too busy, please try the latest. I know that the "--vout-event" error has been fixed.

Hi Michael,

i think GMP 0.2 works fine if path videos is without accent

Works fine : gnome-media-player /home/christophe/Chuck.s01e11.avi
doesn't work : gnome-media-player /home/christophe/Vidéos/Séries/Chuck/Saison\ 1/Chuck.s01e11.avi

Oh, I get it. The program doesn't work without the vlc package being
installed (yes, it requires VLC to be installed COMPLETELY, along with
QT libs).
