I'm following these instructions
http://beans.seartipy.com/2006/06/08/installing-c-mononet-monodevelop-in-ubuntu-dapper-drake-606/
to install mono and serve asp.net through my apache2

I get this issue at the point where I wish to install libapache2-mod-mono
sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-mono

The following packages have unmet dependencies.
libapache2-mod-mono: Depends: mono-apache-server (< 1.1.14) but it is not going to be installedor
                                mono-apache-server2 (< 1.1.14) but 1.1.17.1-2 is to be installed
E: Broken packages

I'm running an upgraded 6.06 - 6.10 edgy
attached is my source.list

Hope this helps if its related

Also confirmed
libapache-mod-mono is in version 1.1.13 and depends on mono-apache-server wich is in version 1.1.17
It's either an error on version number of libapache-mod-mono or a bad verion of libapache-mod-mono wich is provided.

Same here. This version mismatch is preventing the installation of an Apache module to run C#.net Mono applications. Left with xsp2 which is very limited.

It seems that the package number mismatch the theory :
"mod-mono" source package in ubuntu
Current release: 1.1.18-1
Creator: Ubuntu Archive Auto-Sync
Maintainer: Debian Mono Group
Maintainer defaults:*

But the package is 1.1.13

Also confirmed in edgy. Mod-mono 1.2.1 and xsp 1.2.1 is in debian/testing an debian/unstable, perhaps a release update is in order? Would an upgrade to feisty fix this?

mod-mono 1.2.1-1 is now in feisty and in sync with xsp (also 1.2.1-1).
