Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem

After double-clicking a mp3 file, Totem opens and shows the "Search for suitable plugin?" window. I click on the Search button and then shortly the search results are shown: gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg/fluendo-mp3/plugins-ugly. All three are marked by default so I just click on Install and a dialog entitled "Confirm installation of restricted software" is shown. I click on Confirm and immediately a "No packages installed" alert (only Ok button) shows up. Clicking Ok does not close it, nor does clicking on the close icon ("x"). I have to "force the application to quit" to close it.

I forgot to mention that, yes, I had enabled all repositories prior to trying to play the mp3 file.

Finally, all packages could be installed without problems using " sudo apt-get install <package-name>" .

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance and sorry for the late response.
