installation of plugins required for mp3 playback halt (maverick: automatic codec installation fails in totem)

Binary package hint: totem
After double-clicking a mp3 file, Totem opens and shows the "Search for suitable plugin?" window. I click on the Search button and then shortly the search results are shown: gstreamer0.

I forgot to mention that, yes, I had enabled all repositories prior to trying to play the mp3 file.
Finally, all packages could be installed without problems using " sudo apt-get install <package-name>" .
