Bug Description

The fglrx package has been an ongoing problem since upgrading to lucid lynx. I am unsure if my previous problems (the UI freezing) are related to this bug or not, but I would not be surprised.

  • make.sh.log Edit (2.7 KiB, text/x-log; charset=UTF-8; name="make.sh.log")

I've attached:

/var/lib/dkms/fglrx/8.723.1/build/make.sh.log

(which I assume what you are looking for, as there is no 8.723 directory)

Thanks for the log file. It doesn't show any build failure. Did you retry to install the driver with success ?

I reinstalled "patch", which was one of the problems when installing it
first time. (It tried to call "patch" but it wasn't installed), then
reinstalled fglrx, which went through without problems according to the
installer. That being said, it still doesn't work right, and I've found my
self using the a pre-lynx kernel to avoid the UI freezing (mouse doesn't
move, keyboard won't respond). Admittedly this problem might not be fglrx
related, but something completely different.
