Bug Description
Some time ago, I already reported a bug regarding this in the belief that the error only applies if I try to create an audio CD, which was not quite right. The original bug report can be found here: https:/
I've done a bit more research and this is what I found out.
First of all, I used Ubuntu 10.04 on this computer before and did an upgrade to 10.10 in order to test the system and report bugs. I've never had any problems with burning CDs with 10.04, this error came along with 10.10. First I thought it was an error regarding brasero, which was not quite right. No matter which program I use (I tried gnome-baker and brasero so far), I cannot create a CD. No matter of what type the CD is. I can, however, still create iso-images with the programs mentioned before, which takes me to the guess that this might be a general error regarding the kernel and my hardware.
What did I do?
1) Open brasero
2) Create a new audio/data/
3) Select files you want to add
4) Try to burn it
=> It does not work. Instead, the program tells me that it ejects the CD before even starting to convert the files to the right format (in case of an audio CD)
The same applies for gnome-baker, of course.
I'd really like to help you guys terminating this bug, thus please tell me if you need any further information.

My Dell Studio XPS 16 is affected, too. I am happy to provide any information that will be helpful here.
