Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdegraphics

I can confirm [Bug 524678] that Okular does not display *any* EPS images in a DVI file. The test file below is a simple LaTeX document containing a single image, test.eps.

KDVI also fails this, but xdvi does not; and converting the DVI file to a .ps file using dvips and then displaying it with gv works OK, as does converting the .ps file to .pdf with ps2pdf.

Test files are at http://latex.silmaril.ie/test/okular/

-rw-r--r-- 1 peter peter 47880 Sep 19 16:25 test.ps
-rwxr-xr-x 1 peter peter 116 Sep 19 16:25 test.tex

The following are screenshots showing the failure.

This is using stock up-to-date ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS. It does not appear to be in any way related to the presence of non-ASCII characters in image paths. Okular 4:4.4.2-0ubuntu1.1 and KDVI 4:3.5.9-3+lenny3 are not usable with this bug unresolved.
