meta keys stop working when vmplayer running

Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

when using vmware player, if I click outside the vmware client area without releasing input controls (by hitting ctrl-alt), all meta keys stop functioning within kde until kde is restarted.

no, but I would think the window manager should prevent that sort of
thing from happening. It's not an issue on gnome.

Reporter says it's only a problem on KDE.

While we appreciate your issue, it would be better if it was tracked at https://bugs.kde.org, so that the KDE developers can deal with this speedily and have direct communication with you as the reporter for more effective debugging.
