I now know why that error popped up. I was trying to install one of Brian Rogers updated kernels:
linux-headers-2.6.35-power+18-generic_2.6.35-power+18.24~lucid_amd64.deb
linux-image-2.6.35-power+18-generic_2.6.35-power+18.24~lucid_amd64.deb

When it installed and booted back up, my bcm wireless quit. (that must have been where the crash report came from)
I uninstalled the new kernel and reverted back to 2.6.32-25 and my wireless works again.
As far as the reason I tried a new kernel was for the "load balancing tick" problem.
But that can wait until maverick.
