Bug Description
Binary package hint: flashgot
xul-ext-flashgot 1.2+dfsg-2build1, Ubuntu Maverick
The package synopsis will be used as the checkbox label for any add-on in Ubuntu Software Center that does not have a .desktop file. xul-ext-flashgot is marked as "Enhances: thunderbird", so potential Thunderbird users can see that xul-ext-flashgot is something useful they could install at the same time.
The package synopsis for xul-ext-flashgot is currently "Turns every supported download manager into a download manager for Firefox".
This has several problems: It's not a noun phrase, it distractingly leaves unanswered what a "supported download manager" is, and it's quite long. But most of all, referring only to Firefox" makes it look as if it got lost and ended up on the screen for Thunderbird.
If xul-ext-flashgot is not useful to people using Thunderbird, it should no longer be marked as "Enhances: thunderbird". But if it is useful, its synopsis should be changed to something like "Download manager integration for Firefox and Thunderbird".
