Adding track to playlist segfaulting mixxx 1.7.2 on Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit

Built from source on the main site:

1) Open mixxx
2) Go to Playlists
3) Open the one playlist there (was doing this to find a track)
4) Go back to library, find track
5) Right-click and try to add track to playlist
6) death

Mixxx runs normally, but after trying to add to the playlist it ends on:

Interestingly, on the recompiled version on https://bugs.launchpad.net/mixxx/+bug/521509 (another problem I was having), this doesn't appear to happen.

Hey Korin,

Thanks for report. I don't think we're going to do another release of 1.7.x since 1.8.0 will replace it. I'm marking this Won't Fix for now, but that may change later.

Here's to hoping that 1.8.0 is out soon, then. New club night starts on Tuesday, and I plan on using mixxx and some vinyl.. will have to be very careful not to have mixxx crash when live.. again. ;)
Any word on how close to completion it is?

Right, now even trying to add any tracks to this playlist, even omitting the step of viewing the playlist first, is causing Mixxx to immediately shutdown with the error: "WARNING: Child process terminated by signal 11" and nothing else.

This is surely something of a major problem, that trying to add a track to a playlist causes the program to shut down. :\

I don't feel comfortable in using a beta of 1.8 for a live night, but that may end up having to be the only solution, since this doesn't exactly scream "stability" at the moment :(
