Bug Description

After upgrade from Lucid Lynx, I can no longer suspend my Dell Vostro 1500. The problem has never appeared in Jaunty, Karmic or Lucid. The options for suspend are no longer available from Shutdown Menu or in System->Preferences->Power Management.

Closing the lid on my laptop results in a popup message: Failed to Suspend. Computer Failed to Suspend. Failure was reported as: Failed to Suspend.

There are no ACPI settings in the BIOS that I am able to configure / change and as stated above, I could always suspend in Karmic -> Lucid. I tried reverting to an earlier kernel to test but couldn't bring up gnome due to video drivers (Nvidia). No daily updates over the past 4 days have resolved the issue and couldn't find anyone else experiencing the issue.
