Bug Description

It would be useful to be able to share clipboard information with the underlying operating system from the Java applet. However, the contents of this box do not appear to be recognized by Windows 7.

Does this work on any other OS? My impression is that since this is a VNC console to the virtual hardware, not to the OS, there's no way for clipboard contents to reach the guest OS. This is the sort of thing software like VMware Tools fixes, but as far as I'm aware there isn't one for Xen.

Much as we recommend installing a real SSH server instead of relying on the serial console for regular use, try installing a real VNC server on the guest, or better yet using a higher level protocol like Remote Desktop.

I think geofft is correct.

I also think we should just switch to a Javascript VNC viewer already
(I haven't actually tested any out, but it would be awesome to deploy
one).
