Bug Description

It seems that dialog (not main windows) of an application aren't maximized properly:
1. open evolution
2. edit -> preferences

This dialog has closed/minimized/maximized buttons. Consequently, unity tries to maximized it. It's undecorated, buttons are in the launcher, but the window keeps its previous geometry and size (it's not maximized).

Launching it under GNOME, (running mutter), and clicking on the maximize button maximize it.

It doesn't seem to be linked to that window or evolution in particular, rather on all dialog box (not application root window) which have maximized button.

can reproduce on my netbook but not on a big screen. I guess this bug is caused by the height of the evolution preference window being more than 600px

Jason, before we undecorate a window, we need to check whether the window is already too wide or too high for the screen and, if so, ignore it for undecoration/maximisation. We needed to do the same in maximus too, otherwise everything get's into a weird state in Mutter/metacity.
