Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

When dragging a launcher out of the launcher bar, there's a white line that follows the icon movement (up and down). If this is supposed to be an indicator of where the launcher will be placed on button release, it should receive some visual polishing.

this makes me remind of the launcher video at design.canonical.com (maybe
the line might need a different color) too bad my maverick system broke real
hard to test :(

No that is not a bug, it is the intended design.
The line is an indication/marker of where the icon will be present when dropped.

But maybe the marker could use some better design than just looking like an artifact/glitch in the graphics.

Yes, there's polish that's required to make it feel purposeful instead
of accidental :-)

I'm guessing something like the "fade-out" lines we use as separators in the search-result-view, but brighter (with more contrast against the background). We'll see what Otto can come up with.
