Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Every time i open empathy by default it display offline contact and disable the hebrew spelling check also it doesn't remember anything else i change like disabling sound or changing alerts or even replace themes from classic to blue or anything else i don't know why that is but i think that maybe it have something to do with the fact that i set unsafe storage in the keyring-daemon in seashore but never the less it is still very annoying so please fix it and also fix the other bug i posted about RTL and thanks in advance.

libdconf0 was not installed, installed it and now setting are saved. ubuntu-desktop package is not installed on my system that might be the reason I did not get it in updates?

libdconf0 is indeed not installed why i don't know it should have been installed with the latest empathy update or by default when i installed maverick i can't imagine that it was installed and some how removed but it is possible i would install it again now and see if it helps.

the reason is not installed is clear. emphaty do not depend on this package.

If i understand it correctly, recommend do not restrict installation.

I tested newest iso:
rsync://cdimage.ubuntu.com/cdimage/daily-live/current/maverick-desktop-amd64.iso

and get same result. libdconf0 is not installed.

I think at least empathy should depend on it.

Alexey

The issue is that Recommends from the base system are not installed on the CD builds, we will change the libglib2.0-0 recommends to a depends

you could be using an another backend to store the configuration than d-conf
