Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

ubuntu release: 10.10 alpha-2
i labeled this under the gtk-window-decorator. i couldn't really find the process name that controls the graphical user interface that deals with mouse movement and what-not. as the summary says, the mouse pointer disappears after not moving for a short period. it reappears if the mouse is moved again. just found it rather annoying and figured that it wasn't something that should be occurring considering that i couldn't find an option to enable a "disappearing mouse pointer" function under the system menu. also, considering that the mouse pointer doesn't do that under any of the other releases of ubuntu that i've used over the past three years, i just thought it was a glitch that should be reported. i'm kinda new to this whole alpha testing, if you can't tell.

This is the annoying feature :) called unclutter.
#vi /etc/default/unclutter change "true" to "false" and that's all.
