one-time venue

Sometimes there's a venue that won't be used ever again, i think it might be a little heavy for the venues list to add such a venue everytime..

My suggestion is to add a one-time venue option.

I think it would be cool if we have all ever used venues in the list. Then it would be possible to get a event history for every venue.

I think it's be a good idea to have a one-time venue option so that the (already slightly unwieldy) drop-down list stays manageable.

Having a list of all venues and event history could be a very interesting feature, but I think this could be done without requiring every venue to show up in the drop-down list. It's much more likely to be interesting for venues which are used more than once anyhow.

I don't think that the one-time venue will solve the problem with the drop-down list. I think for that problem, we need another solution. imho this has nothing to do with one-time-venues.

Venues which are just one time used can be very interesting for people who plan another event and search for a possible location.

well, if so, at least it should be *way* easier to add new venues.

Ddorda, there's already a fix pending that will let you add a venue without leaving the Event form.

The Venue list can be made much more user-friendly with some javascript magic, which would negate the need for one-time venues (which would be a pain us to manage on the server-side)

What would you all think about allowing a venue to be tagged to "belong" to a team, so when a member of that team creates a new event, they see only a list of venues "belonging" to the team; then there would be a button to select other venues, which would display a bigger list, possibly in the relevant continent, or all venues.
