Bug Description
Binary package hint: initramfs-tools
Today's update (6 July 2010) results in update-initramfs failing to build a new initrd.img.
-------
greenman@
[sudo] password for greenman:
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.
cryptsetup: WARNING: found more than one resume device candidate:
update-initramfs: failed for /boot/initrd.
-------
Checking /boot, it is in fact failing to build a new initrd -- the one in /boot is an old one.
The cryptsetup and WARNING messages are not new; they have always been there on my system.
Could you please run this command:
sh -x /usr/sbin/ mkinitramfs -o /boot/initrd. img-2.6. 35-6-generic. new 2.6.35-6-generic >output 2>&1
... and attach the file 'output' to this bug report? Thanks in advance.
