Hi Schappenberg,

That log looks normal to me. Could you please try and capture a backtrace from the crash. The details on how to capture a backtrace are here: http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/creating_backtraces

Thanks!
RJ Ryan

Hey Schappenberg,

Thanks for your backtrace. I can see that Mixxx is deadlocked somwhere within Qt from your backtrace.

I'm not sure what is causing this, though it might be graphics related, since there are mentions of QGLWidget in there. Could you try disabling the OpenGL waveforms? You can do this by opening or creating the file ~/.mixxx/mixxx.cfg and in the file add these two lines to the end of it:

[Controls]
Visuals 1

Try loading Mixxx after that and let me know if the same problem happens.

Thanks,
RJ Ryan

Hey Schappenberg,

It sounds like this problem is related to your graphics card then. Are you running with the most up to date graphics driver for your ATI video card? Are you using Compiz?

Thanks,
RJ Ryan

Ah ok, could you try switching to visual effects 'None' and removing the edit to your mixxx.cfg to see if the problem still occurs?

Thanks!

same for me here, I could run mixxx again !
but with no waveform (better than nothing...)

it seems my video card has got something weird (ATI Technologies Inc M9+ 5C61 [Radeon Mobility 9200 (AGP)] (rev 01)), the workaround I was using until few months ago stopped working :

quick one as I don't face this problem anymore...
I still use the same version of mixxx. But since my last messages, I updated/upgraded several system ubuntu (10.10) packages which seems to have sorted this issue (kernel, qt, x...)
