Bug Description
Binary package hint: unity
It would be nice to have an "unity --replace" to replace your current running GNOME session by an unity one
Also add:
--clean-profile
--log
--debug-crash to embedd unity in gdb (ensuring debug symbols are there)
Currently with the newer unity-compiz, it is possible to run "compiz --replace" on your graphical session to pick the right compiz profile.

Is anyone aware of a workaround to achieve the same effect?
Starting unity without closing the session.
