Bug Description
OS: Ubuntu Lucid 10.04 LTS Karmic
HW: Laptop, HP Pavallion dv7-nr1451, ATI Radeon
Using amdcccle, I have successfully set up an external monitor to my laptop. The laptop LCD is display / desktop 1, the external monitor is display / desktop 2.
Everything works fine -- e.g., display 2 has two viewports, display 1 has nine; each display has it's own panels, etc. -- except I cannot move the mouse cursor between displays EXCEPT with an external USB mouse.
I have the displays set up so that the external monitor (display 2) is to the left of the laptop LCD (display 1). With the USB mouse, I can move between displays freely, as one would expect. With the built-in touchpad, however, I can move the mouse cursor around just fine -- even on display 2 -- but once the mouse cursor enters display 1, I can no longer move it anywhere except on display 1.
If this "trapping" of the mouse cursor on display 1 held for both the touchpad and USB mouse, I probably be able to figure it out. But the fact that the "trapping" only occurs for the touchpad is what has me stumped.
Thanks.
