Closing one Firefox window shuts down whole Firefox

Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

I created a new Firefox window from a link in the first one. After finishing reading some page in the 2nd window I closed it using the X button, and this action closed Firefox altogether, i.e. the first FF window got closed as well.

Sometimes Firefox profiles can become corrupt and/or extensions can conflict. Could you please try this with a new profile and see if the problem still exists? You do not need to delete your old profile to test. If this helps, you might want to try to disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one until you find the problematic one.

You can start the profile manager with the following command:
firefox -ProfileManager

the "firefox -ProfileManager" command opens another copy Firefox.
anyway, I just reinstalled Ubuntu from scratch, so I'm not likely to
experience any problems with Firefox for a while at least.
