Bug Description

Binary package hint: stardict-tools

In Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (64Bit) the package stardict (v3.0.1-6) comes only with a chinese dictionary.
Only one additional dictionary for this is directly available (stardict-english-czech).
There are several dict-freedict dictionary packages available, but they need to be converted before they can be used with stardict.

The package stardict-tools (v3.0.1-4) contains a script (/usr/share/doc/stardict-tools/examples/dictd2dic.sh) that was able to convert dictionaries in dict format to stardict, however it is currently broken.
Broken aspects include the location of dictd2dic and the prefix of the freedict dictionaries.

The attached replacement fixes (and slightly improves) the script which than can be used to convert the freedict dictionaries for stardict an install them.
