Yes it's just that I was trying to add some libraries to my Arduino folder and I didn't knew how. Then

delance said on 2010-03-23:

Plus simple, modifier les droits sur le répertoire.

sudo chmod a+w -R /usr/share/arduino/libraries/

Ceci retire les protections en écriture sur tout le répertoire, et tu peux utiliser Nautilus.

This is not the way to add new user supplied libraries.
This should be done the way it is explained on the Arduino reference pages
http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/Environment#libraries

If you install them in /usr/share/arduino/libraries they will be deleted on package updates without notice

Speaking of arduino libraries, wouldn't it be a good idea to create an additional package with some additional libraries found on the arduino page?

Not for the Arduino-Ubuntu Team.
When you try to create a package for additional libraries you will face one (or all of ) these problems:

- code without a license statement
- code without a copyright statement
- code without even the neame of the original author
- code that has been tested on only a small set of boards
- code that is unmaintained

....

The code for the IDE and the basic libraries are all in one place so we were able to sort this out, but I wouldn't want to do this for 10 libs by 15 author coming with 5 different licenses ........

The work is not done after creating a package, you'll have to maintain it too.

Thank you Eberhard,

I really didn't knew how to do this. I did it that way and it
worked, but as you said if it's updated it will be gone...

I'm not talking about my own libraries, but official ones,
like mouse, adafruit, and other shield factories.

With your information I'll try to do this the good way.

Fabio.
