Bug Description

Binary package hint: qsstv

I have tried on amd 64 and i386 computers and reached the same results, transmits very choppy 2-3 seconds on mode scottie 1(which should be 53 seconds or about). The auodetection on recieve is not consistent. It will recieve wrong mode, and display slants that cannot manually be corrected.
I am not a developer, and understand Ubuntu doesnt have a QSSTV maintainer but would like this to be
known to the folks here. steve

Thanks for reporting this problem (a long time ago!) Steve. The latest version of qsstv (7.1.7-3) is now available; its likely that the problem you've reported is fixed by this new version. Please advise whether you still experience the problem with qsstv 7.1.7-3. That version is the default version available for install in Ubuntu 12.10. For previous Ubuntu releases, that version of qsstv is available from the Ubuntu Hams Updates PPA:
  https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-hams-updates/+archive/ppa
or from this qsstv-only PPA:
  https://launchpad.net/~kamalmostafa/+archive/qsstv

Thanks For the heads up Kamal! I have downloaded the latest version from source this past winter, I has worked fine. Except the calibration for the clock has stopped working. I will notify Johan ON4QZ about this bug, I have your PPA fldigi repository on my system. Steve kd5mkv
