Bug Description

I can see behind the current window through a gap between the titlebar and the menubar in a wobbling window. Screenshot attached.

The behavior occurs regardless of the video card installed on the user's machine

This certainly isn't a Metacity issue. Sending it over to the Compiz folks.

As far as I know, the wobbly plugin has always had this bug. I've seen it for many years.

I believe the title bar (decorations) and window content are two separate textures. So if their wobbling coordinates disagree even slightly, or if either is not rendered with correct texture clamping setting, then you will see a gap.

I've never actually looked at the wobbly code though. This is just theory from observing the bug...

@Daniel

This bug actually affects nearly all plugins / effects - from animation effects; such as zoom or glide 2, to things like windows in scale and expo too, here is a screenshot of expo;

I only point this out, because it is a bigger problem than just wobbly windows. In the case of expo, those ugly lines in the decoration change as you move the window ~ and clearly, it looks glitchy / shotty.

I hope at some point you guys get a chance to try to find a proper solution to the bad lines around window decorations, that compiz produces.
