>:/usr/lib$ ls -la /usr/lib/libXex*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2010-05-06 11:27 /usr/lib/
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 73600 2010-01-18 19:22 /usr/lib/
resolve by creating symlink from
ln -s libXext.so.6.4.0 libXext.so

Thanks for including the attached files. Could you also include your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (or Xorg.0.log.old) from after reproducing the issue?
