Bug Description
I have a PC with a Core i7-860, 8GB RAM and ATI HD5770 graphic. I can't boot Lucid from DVD because every time the x-servers wants to start it failed and I get a black screen and the monitor turns off. I tried every kernel option but nothing helps. I tried to install Lucid in text mode and the fresh installed system shows the same effect. No matter whether I use KMS or the ATI Catalyst 10.4 driver. What is this? It is impossible for me to install Lucid on this machine. Lucid beta had a beta driver from ATI to make things better, but I can't see any effect. With Karmic everything was fine.
