New Department for OSI's People Directory

Hi All,

We need to add a new department to OSI's People Directory. The new department, called the 'Initiative on Confronting Violent Crime', should be added under the Associated Programs heading between Human Rights and Governance Grants Program and Office of the Senior Advisor Program.

Also, while I was looking to see where the Initiative on Confronting Violent Crime should be added I noticed that the Office of the Senior Advisor Program has a spelling error: 'Adviser' should be 'Advisor'. I gather that both adviser and advisor are equally valid spellings, but the powers that be at OSI seem to prefer advisor.

I was going to do this for the update tonight, but there doesn't seem to be a category yet for the "Initiative on Confronting Violent Crime". The reports set up in the peopledirectory.xml must correspond to categories that have been created during gsa sync. If we haven't gotten the category yet, attempting to create the report will fail with an error.

If you make user active in GSA and user is assigned to KarlStaff role.
User will be shipped in XML file for sync and department will be created.

OK, so I'll make a note to add the new department on June 1st, when the
staff member officially starts as OSI.

For now, can we at least make the 'Advisor' (from Adviser) spelling
change in the Office of the Senior Advisor Program?

Chris, if you get a chance, could you do the part that changes the spelling of advisor, per the discussion on this ticket?

I've changed the spelling of advisor. The new department can be added as soon as their are users in it.

The following is being added to this bug for soonest release

There has been a name change with one of the National Foundations. The Open Society Initiative for East Africa is now called the Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa. Please make this change in the People directory. The listing on the Foundation People tab should now read:
'East Africa: Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa' and the top of the OSIEA staff directory page (https://karl.soros.org/people/foundations/open-society-initiative-for-e
ast-africa/) should read Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa.
