CoverGloobus blocks when image file is corrupted

is song info (artist, title, etc.) visible?
do you have covers inside music folders or GMPC downloads them form the web?
"Enable Amazon covers" checkbox in CG configuration window is active?

Yes, song info is visible: artist, title & album.
GMPC downloads them from the web, and all the downloaded covers are located in ~./covers/artistnamehere.
Yes, Amazon covers is active but it's the when inactive.

sometimes it shows a cover but not the right one playing.

well, and sometimes it does not show any song info, but play pause next previuos controls work.

also, when pressing "next" button for few times, the song info does not change anymore

well, it will be difficult to make a plugin for all MPD frontends
maybe we can make it possible to set a custom path and pattern to search
covers, I'll check this later

for a few times? do you mean double/triple/quad clicks or just more clicks
separated in time?

well, sometimes after just one click, sometimes after more clicks. the song changes but the title stays the same. also the text is doubled. i've attached a sreenshot of it.

and I can't repeat the clicking problem, I've been clicking it for 10 minutes and everything works fine

does this happens always on the same tracks?
you can try run cg from console with --debug argument and when this happens post the output here ( I suppose there will be some sort of errors :D )

well, deselecting the amazon covers, changing songs seems to be fine. the problem is with amazon covers enabled.

ok, its not mpd problem
maybe something wrong with cover downloading or image loading

could you please translate the last line:

glib.GError: Image file ' / home / volume / .covers /a._lee-electric_passion.jpg " there is no data - or something similar.
the cover image is located in / home / volume / .covers /A. Lee/Electric Passion.jpg
there is each separate folder for each artist. I think CG does not search in subfolders.
