Bug Description
Binary package hint: indicator-applet
The applet tends to gain space to the left after a while.
Appearing / disappearing icons seem to trigger this: copying files, receiving a message from pidgin (set to display a status icon when the window is inactive only) creates new icons in the panel. When they are removed, the indicator-applet gains 1 or 2 pixels to the left and starts to grow.

This wont happen on the default install. this happens after you move the applets or play with them a bit. the solution is that close each and every running app, move indicator applet to the extreme right as far its possible, lock it then move notification area to the extreme right as far as its possible and lock and it wont happen again.
