Bug Description

Binary package hint: f-spot

F-spot crashes immediately upon double-clicking any photo in the f-spot library to go to the editing mode/single-photo-view mode. As you can imagine, this is completely debilitating.

I have attached a file containing the results of the commands:

apt-cache policy f-spot
f-spot --debug
f-spot --view PIC

May be similar to this bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot/+bug/59837 , however my case has a SIGSEGV and is not limited to the --view option.

thanks for the report, it seems that f-spot is not interpreting the path correctly, what if you run the --view mode with : f-spot --view "/home/valjean/Photos/PICHA YA TANZANIA/tanzania kadi ya kwanza/100NIKON/DSCN0167.JPG" ; does it works fine that way? looks like a duplicate. thanks.

It fails with SIGSEGV again with the argument in quotes as well (terminal output for that command attached).

any updates on this, i'm also seeing this exact behavior. neither with or without the --view switch works for me.
