I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you. Can you try the following and let me know the results?
1. Quit the Ubuntu One client. From the applet select Quit. Then open a Terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal) and run the following to quit the syncdaemon.

u1sdtool -q

2. Delete the old metadata. In a Terminal run.

rm -rf ~/.local/share/ubuntuone

3. Start Ubuntu One as you normally would Applications > Internet > Ubuntu One

You should be connected after you follow these steps. If you are not connected, can you please attach your Ubuntu One logs to this bug report? Please zip your $HOME/.cache/ubuntuone/log/ folder and attach the zip here.?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I did these steps w/ PPA version.
u1dstool -s gives me this output:

State: QUEUE_MANAGER
     connection: With User With Network
     description: processing queues
     is_connected: True
     is_error: False
     is_online: True
     queues: WORKING_ON_BOTH

but still not all the files are updated on my pc, in particular I can
see them uploaded on the site (from my office pc) but they don't get
updated on my laptop.
Do you suggest me to come back to Karmic Ubuntuone client?
Thanks.

Hi marbertone. From the u1sdtool status you have posted it appears to be working now. Currently the service is very slow due to unexpectedly high server load with the release of ubuntu 10.04. The Ubuntu One team are currently adding more servers & working on load balancing

Please give it a couple of days. If you are still experiencing this issue, please zip your $HOME/.cache/ubuntuone/log/
folder and attach the zip here.

You can attach logs to this bug report by clicking the 'Add Attachment
or patch' button at the bottom of the page. Thank you for filing this
bug report and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I replaced old version (for which there is still the problem when not using
network-manager) w/ PPA version, with which problem has solved.
Many thanks,

Hello Mitch,
just an info:
is there an option to let Ubuntu One PPA automatically connect at
startup? I haven't understood yet if it connects automatically or not,
but what I understood is that if I write u1sdtool -c on the terminal it
asks me to unlock the keyring, so to enter a password, and I deduce from
this that Ubuntu One PPA doesn't connect on startup (otherwise it would
ask me for the password) and it should be automatically initialized.....
or not?
Another info: I've noticed the 'sync' option in contextual menu, this
means that I could leave the local Ubuntu One folder empty and just sync
the folders I want (so avoiding double copies on my HD)??
Thanks,
M.A.
