Problemas con la frecuencia de la CPU en Lucid 32/64 release candidate.

Tengo instalada la version release candidate de Lucid en 32 y 64 bits. He notado que el microprocesador se pone al tope sin hacer nada. Se encuentra totalmente revolucionado. Adjunto informacion del sistema operativo/hardware.
Puede estar relacionado con el excesivo consumo de memoria ram que se ha reportado hace poco?

Hello again, I have located the problem. These indicator-applet & sound-service-indicator, killing these processes the CPU lowers its frequency to a minimum. With the last update of the system, it does not work the sound applet, or so appears to recognize the sound card, although the sound works perfectly. The keys to raise and lower the sound does not work, but since an audio player (amarok) can be handled without problems. It gives the feeling that the system tries to run the sound applet without success, accelerating the CPU to the top.

Can you install paman from apt-get ? This will help debugging sound issues with pulse.

Open terminal and type

>sudo apt-get install paman
....

then type

>paman

This should bring up the manager which will indicate if pulse is running.

You can also search the running processes from terminal with

>ps aux | grep pulseaudio

If you find it is not running,

from terminal type:

pulseaudio --start

then recheck that the process stays up.

The service should not have problems though with an unstable pulse. It has been tested thoroughly to handle this...

So pulse is definitely not running. Have you changed anything to do with
pulse ?
 From terminal please start pulse and recheck to see if it stays running
(both described below).

Yes this is because Pulseaudio cannot start due to some Mac related
problem. Without Pulse the slider and gnome-volume-control are useless.
Could you print the output on terminal from the command

Hi,

Could you confirm the filesystem of your install. The problem with this is Pulse being unable to run on your system.
Although I do not understand why the service is hogging your system. The first task is to figure out why Pulse is unable to run therefore you should prevent the indicator-sound-service from running.

Okay this seems to be an issue on certain machines. I would like to follow the instructions here and turn pulse audio off.

Then restart and see if the problem persists. I cannot reproduce this. It sounds like the indicator is stuck in a loop polling pulse to come alive. In truth it does poll pulse but does this via the pulse async api and as a result is very timid on resources.

LA ABSTENCIÓN:
No votar no tiene NINGÚN efecto en las elecciones. Es simplemente un voto
menos a contar y a repartir. En ninguna parte de la constitución dice que si
hay un X% de abstención pase nada... repito NO VOTAR TIENE 0 EFECTO y no hay
ninguna ley ni artículo en la constitución que tenga en cuenta la
abstención. Si votaran 5 personas y 3 lo hicieran al PP, éste tendría
mayoría absoluta con todas las de la ley.

VOTO NULO:
El voto nulo no se cuenta. Es equivalente a no votar. Simplemente se
descarta y no se tiene en cuenta para el total de votos emitidos. Es decir
el voto nulo, salvo para creerte original, NO TIENE NINGÚN EFECTO, al igual
que no votar.

VOTO EN BLANCO:
El voto en blanco cuenta de cara al total de votos emitidos, pero no va para
ningún partido concreto. Sin embargo, dado que los partidos tienen que
obtener un mínimo del 3% para obtener representación, los votos en blanco
aumentan la cantidad de votos "de verdad" que necesitan obtener los partidos
pequeños. De tal forma que el voto en blanco PERJUDICA A LOS PARTIDOS
PEQUEÑOS o, dicho de otra forma, FAVORECE A LOS PARTIDOS GRANDES (PPSOE).
