Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 with latest updates. The client is Evolution.2.28.1
I use Googlemail.

I can enter events and meetings in my Evolution and they appear in Google Calender, but IF I enter event via another computer/client or directly into Google Calendar, then the events do NOT appear in my Evolution calender on my current laptop.

Could you please add information about your settings regarding the calendar setup?
It is possible you simply do not have the correct settings configured.

i.e. How you have the account tied to your Gmail account?

Please follow the instructions from Google regarding CalDAV support. The instructions specify for iPhones, but can be applied to Evolution.

Other people have had success using the add on GCalDaemon. Back up your calendars and follow the instructions here: http://swiss.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1434381

Lastly, Evolution version 2.28.3 (the version that is packaged with Lucid) has default settings for importing and two way sync with Google Accounts.

Probably not. The only settings I added were the eMail account.
There were no other settings suggested. I tried the other options
mentioned by you and others, but there is not matching configs in the
settings...

Can you advise, please what settings go where.

My apologies, I shouldn't been more specific about the process.

Install GCalDaemon, from this link here: http://gcaldaemon.sourceforge.net/index.html

Once it is installed, follow the guide here: http://gcaldaemon.sourceforge.net/usage16.html

You install the program from the command line, then launch evolution. Create a new calendar and input the information as shown on the guide. Once the information is put into the config file, you should be able to use 2 way sync of your Google Calendar.
