Bug Description
For a reason, which I have not been able to replicate, when I log off of my Ubuntu 6.06 admin account, to log in to the limited account (which I have only limited through the Alacarte Menu Editor and user settings) ocassionally the screen gives me diagonal lines mostly white, light grey & green- somewhat like a static screen on a TV. There is no way to make this go away exept with a restart.
I am using a Gateway E-1400 with a Celeron processor & a Dell LCD. The display adapter is an Intel 82810-EC100.
Every setting works just fine after Ubuntu installation exept for this issue.

Could you please confirm that the display is configured to work at the manufacturer recommended resolution and horizontal and vertical refresh rates? You can check your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to check this, or you can use the System- >Preferences- >Screen resolution menu option from the GNOME panel.
Thanks in advance.
