Bug Description
Binary package hint: xorg
Closing the laptop lid turns off the screen. When you reopen the lid the mouse pointer is gone. No xorg.conf file is being used. Lucid installation is up to date as of today. Mouse pointer can be made to "reappear" by switching to a TTY session and then back. For example, pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1, then Ctrl+Alt+F7 to switch back. Laptop is a thinkpad R52 using Intel 855GM chipset.
