Bug Description

Binary package hint: udev

When I boot up Edgy knot 1 I get an error message which goes outside the "writing box" and that stays there for the rest of the boot-time.
I get this error message because I have both installed kubuntu and ubuntu and therefore have both KDM and GDM installed.

The error message is something like "GDM is not starting because it is not the default windowmanager

This is still a bit present in gutsy. It displays the message in a blink of an eye.
It doesnt appear when using gdm as default display manager, only when using KDM. Therefore I think gdm should be configured not to display the message.

The message that is printed just before KDM starts:
"Not starting GNOME Display Manager (gdm); it is not the default display manager"

dmesg output is attached as requested.

But i believe thats not a bug its just that it shows the message while booting and says that its not starting gdm since you have installed kdm too which is default manager

not really a problem today, other than that it stops the boot-splash.
In edgy it looked very weird.
