Bug Description

Binary package hint: yelp

Start from lucid alpha1, everytime I use LiveUSB to test lucid, the OS freezes every time I do any operation to the OS(open folder, run an app, and anything related to open a new window). But I can refresh the desktop or checkout gnome-panel. After the OS crashes, mouse is freezed, and everything is not responsed. I have to cut off the power of my Toshiba Satellite A105 to get out of the dark screen. I know ubuntu 10.04 final is coming in 21 days, and I have been a super ubuntu fan for 2 years. I hope you can solve this problem for me and let me continue my ubuntu journal.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 509273.

Workaround is to use pci=nomsi kernel option and proper fix is estimated to be in beta 2. I am marking yelp task to invalid since it's not a bug in yelp. Feel free to continue to report any other bugs you may find.

Changed in yelp (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Thank you for these information, I just tested BETA2, but sadly I got the
same result.
