Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.32-19-generic-pae

On Lucid Lynx Beta-1, the suspend doesn't work on Thinkpad T61 with nvidia card. According to this link it should
http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Installing_Ubuntu_10.04_%28Lucid_Lynx%29_on_a_ThinkPad_T61

But, this considers amd64 platform: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/346310.
I use x86 version, after update I got kernel 2.6.32-19-generic-pae and tried also 2.6.32-19-generic. The drivers are nvidia proprietary drivers.
In my case:
* screen is blank, backlight turned on
* no response on Caps Lock, completely hanged.

Ok, it seems that the problem is my additional soundcard SB Audigy 2 ZS Notebook [SB0530]. If I put it out the suspend and the resume works perfectly fine.
Therefore I suggest the Audio Team should take care of it. It was working perfectly fine on Karmic Koala (9.10) and the previous.

Same to me with Acer5930g, NVIDIA9600GT, NVIDIA drivers from nvidia web page, because jockey cannot install nvidia-current drivers correctly. After wake up from suspend to RAM, the kubuntu says that there is no usable conf. in xorg.conf and I have to reinstall the drivers. Same option box as when you update kernel and forgot reinstall NVIDIA driver.

in my case nvidia-current works but it only couldn't install vdpau or something like that. Strange, because vdpau works.

It seems that they fixed that in newest update. Version: 195.36.15-0ubuntu2. But still there's a problem with my PCMCIA card.
About you, I think you should try either newest update (including proposed repo) or post a new bug.

Hi lol24h,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.

Resuming not working always when the PCMCIA card is in slot, at least in 2.6.32 is working when is out.
