Bug Description

After doing a search, I click "Get File List" on a result I want to view. When I connect to the user, it displays the correct path but then immediately kicks me back to the overall list of the users files. I've read that this has been fixed but I'm running the newest version and it only started happening when I upgraded.

Me / Toast couldn't reproduce this in 0.761 under XP 32 bit and W7 x64 respectively but as long as four people reported it so far I converted this to a bug report. Details / screenshots can be found in the related question.

I have the same problem too, using Windows XP SP2 (32 bit).

I get the same error messages in the system log as described in the related question. I noticed in the error message it is looking for the filelist without the xml.bz2 extension, don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I'd like to add the program is able to actually write the file lists to disk, it only doesn't seem able to read them back. This problem started with the 0.761 version, never had such a problem before.

one thing i dont like is that when you search, and press "get filelist" on a folder in search, i get to the guys full share and see all he got instead of go to the map.
example i search Windows XP, I Rightclick on the folder and choose Get File List, i get to his "index" also i see everything he got instead of going to just that Windows XP Folder.

Like its being before, this is annoying if i have to compare 5 different guys content in a folder... now i have to navigate thru all the folders to get where i want to instead of go there directly

dc++ 0.761

If you'd read the post here you'd find that we aware of the problem.
It should work (and works for us) the way you want (the way it worked for long time) but we simply cannot reproduce the wrong behaviour. As soon as we find out what's the problem or anyone who experiences it willing to help us testing it out we will try to fix it asap.

Currently enabling 'Settings/Appearance/Windows/Window options/Open new file list windows in the background' will solve this problem as well as the other side effect of this that unneeded partial filelist downloads (or partial list stuck in the queue) can happen when filelists opened (see duplicate bug).
The attached patch solves the problem, not sure if that's the correct solution though...

As i see it in my debug above, i get a incomplete filelist, that is opened in the correct dir. Then it's updated with the last bit, but called refreshTree is called with an empty string, this is when refreshTree is called from loadXml.
